You can still support the Advertiser’s wool project

Community members and social knitting circles are still welcome to support our annual wool drive.

Community members are reminded that they can support the Boksburg Advertiser’s Wool Project until the end of August.

All donations of wool and knitting needles will go to old-age homes and other community members interested in knitting squares, which can be sewn into blankets or knit beanies, gloves and scarves for distribution to those in need this winter.

Organisations with social knitting circles who would like to knit squares or anyone wanting more information can email project coordinator Elize Kluyts at elizek@caxton.co.za.

Drop-off points for donations:
• Boksburg Advertiser, 20 Sydney Road, Ravenswood
• Bernina, Dubai Centre, Rietfontein Road
• Medleigh Pharmacy, The Square Shopping Centre, Rietfontein Road
• Tracy Harris Properties, 26 Frelon Road, Impala Park
• Hecker Nursery, 1 Kirschner Road, Westwood
• Atlas SPAR, Finch Street, Atlasville
• Towers Pick n Pay, 136 North Rand Road

Kluyts expressed her gratitude to members of the public who supported the project by donating wool and wool items.
“The project wouldn’t have been a success without their contributions,” said Kluyts.
