Local to represent South Africa at IMTA
The student was selected to take part in the acting and modelling categories at the IMTA, but she needs a sponsor to make her dream come true.

Thuthuka Nqubuka, a Grade Nine learner from Hoërskool Voortrekker, was recently invited to participate in the International Modelling and Talent Association (IMTA) Convention to take place in New York, July next year.
The Windmill Park resident explained IMTA is a modelling and talent convention where artists from all over the world showcase their talent in New York to hundreds of fashion and talent agents, personal managers, casting directors, network representatives and music producers.
Nqubuqa earned her spot at the convention after excelling at the International Arts Talent Showcase (IATS), which was held at Siver Star Casino on September 24.
She was selected to take part in the acting and modelling categories.
“I’m overwhelmed but extremely humbled and grateful. I’m honoured to be representing my country and I will make sure I make South Africa proud and be a testimony that SA has great talent.
“I hope to get recognised by casting directors, stand out and hopefully be handpicked for casting at the IMTA. After the IATS, I received a request from Rhavynn Drummer from Tyler Perry Studios to audition for their new production. I believe I’m on the right track,” she said.
Nqubuqa is, however, in need of sponsors to make her dream a reality.
