Many rolling up their sleeves at Reiger Park Civic Centre

A total of 102 people vaccinated at the Reiger Park Civic Centre on October 13.

The Advertiser visited the Reiger Park Civic Centre on October 13, which is one of the vaccination sites in Boksburg.

The site opened its doors on September 1 to residents of Reiger Park, Ramaphosa and surrounding areas, offering the Pfizer vaccine.

Nursing manager for Boksburg clinics Mildred Malisa said a 102 people, young and old, had been vaccinated that day, adding that they had pop-up vaccination sites in various informal settlements too.

Resident Collen Mvumvu (44) said he decided to vaccinate after hearing that if he doesn’t he won’t be allowed to enter certain public spaces. ” I am a soccer fanatic and can’t miss the opportunity to watch soccer live,” he said.
