Retirement home celebrates with exhibit
Witfield Park will hold its main birthday event on October 27.
Trans-50 Witfield Park Retirement Village held a history and hobbies exhibition on October 20 in celebration of its birthday on October 27.
A few residents exhibited some of their historical goods or hobbies, such as paintings, knitted or crocheted items, embroidery and old Bibles for other residents to enjoy.
“The event was a huge success. It was also a way for our residents to reconnect and socialise,” said Monique van der Westhuizen, lifestyle consultant at Witfield Park.
Witfield Park held other fun-filled events leading to its birthday and will hold its final event on its birthday.
