Support the cheerful Boksburg SPCA Christmas Cheer Fund
The animals at the Boksburg SPCA had a cheerful festive season in 2020.
The annual Boksburg SPCA Christmas Cheer Fund will be up and running again from the end of October.
Last year, the society opened the fund in November with a goal of R100 000 and surprisingly it exceeded the target by raising R14 710, all thanks to the supportive community.
Again this year, the Boksburg SPCA is aiming to raise R100 000 through the Christmas Cheer Fund.
The Boksburg SPCA finds its kennels overwhelmed during the Christmas period and thus the Advertiser will again be assisting with the fund-raising drive.
The purpose of the Christmas Cheer Fund is to raise funds to cater for all the furry critters that need to be fed and to give some Christmas treats to all the unfortunate pets behind bars.
The community is encouraged to get involved by honouring past and present pets by pledging donations – no amount is too small.
To donate to the cheer fund, you can visit the society’s premises at Railway Street, Boksburg, or deposit the donation into the bank account: Boksburg SPCA, Absa Bank, branch code 632005, account number 4046388139.
Beneficiary reference: Christmas Cheer and your name/anonymous. It’s important to state that the payment is for the Christmas Cheer Fund.
Email a copy of your proof of payment to ntombis@caxton.co.za so your donation can be acknowledged on the Advertiser’s website.
The society is still finalising what the funds will be used for. The Cheer Fund will be running until the end of January.
