Philasande Community Centre commemorates World Aids Day

A moment of silent was observed in remembrance of those affected and infected by HIV/Aids.

Villa Liza organisation Philasande Community Centre has called on communities to refrain from stigmatising and discriminating against those infected with HIV and Aids but to rather love and support them.

This was revealed during the centre’s World Aids Day candle-lighting service on December 1.

The service, which was attended by staff and beneficiaries, was held to show support for people with HIV and remember those who have died.

A moment of silent was observed in remembrance of those affected and infected by HIV/Aids.

Philasande is a drop-in centre for vulnerable children; they assist children from child-headed families and young pregnant teens.
