CBC learner wins R10 000
The learner answered 10 general knowledge questions correctly live on air to win the money.
Christmas came early this year for 12-year-old Peter Ngwanza, a learner at Christian Brothers’ College (CBC) in Boksburg, who won R10 000 on the 702 Wiz Quiz recently.
Ngwanza had to answer 10 general knowledge questions correctly live on air.
Each question is valued at R100, but because he got 10 correct he won R10 000.
The learner said he is extremely excited about winning the quiz.
“I was nervous, then I calmed down and they began asking me questions that children in my age group should know. After the last question, they said I won R10 000.
“Thank you 702 for letting me play Whiz Quiz. Thank you, CBC and all my teachers for your best teaching skills. God bless you and keep up your good work,” said Ngwanza.
Peter’s mom, Lorraine, said: “I was thrilled when I heard my son won the competition. I’m so proud of him and his school for its good foundation.
“I would like to thank the principal, Matthew Moolman, and all the teachers for the good work. Well done CBC, keep up the good work. God bless.”
