Donate pre-owned shoes to Shoes Emporium
The store already donated about 60 pairs of shoes to needy learners in the community.
Shoe Emporium urges the community to support its Shoe Drop project by dropping off pre-owned school shoes in a box at the store at 34 North Rand Road for underprivileged learners.
The project started in December and is an ongoing project.
According to Iqbal Baruffwala, owner of Shoe Emporium, the project is part of the store’s commitment to making a difference in the community.
“It started off with one or two requests for school shoes. In most cases there is nothing wrong with the donated pair of shoes, the child just grew out of it.
“We have already donated about sixty pairs to needy learners in the community. As the need arises, we donate. We can’t be isolated from the community we serve,” said the owner.
