Most of locals believe disciplining children is the solution the violence in school issue.

What do you think the solution to violence in schools is?

Margaret Bonaparte: Schools must start educating learners more about racism and bullying as it goes hand-in-hand with school violence.

Annelette Bezuidenhout: There should be harsher punishment for committed crimes in South Africa. Furthermore, we must also teach kids emotional intelligence from a young age.

Parlo Subramoney: Children must be disciplined. If there is an issue between a teacher and learner, they must find an effective way to resolve it. Violence is not the answer.

Tahvier Cheema: Parents should discipline their children and take note of their behavior. Teachers should have the upper hand and learners should respect their teachers.

Francois Reichmann: Disciplining children will help to resolve this issue. Schools can maybe arrange for extra security and they can do like a body search on the children before they enter the premises.
