Boksburg models impress at Model of the Year competition
Top models from all the branches around the country and a Namibian branch took part in this prestigious competition.
A few models from the Figures Model Finesse Boksburg branch are gearing up for a cruise after excelling in the annual Figures National Student Model of the Year Pageant for 2021 at Roodepoort Theatre recently.
Contestants from the Boksburg branch excelled in the following categories:
Ashton Botha is the Commercial Model of the Year winner in the men 13 years and older division, securing his place on the MSC Orchestra where Figures Project AIM Convention will take place from March 21 to 25.
Jordan Theron is the first runner-up in the boys three to 12 years category. He won a cash prize of R2 000.
Dihan Janse van Rensburg is the first runner-up in the Skill Model of the Year boys 13 years and older division. He got a 50% discount to the Orchestra.
Jeantè Koekemoer is the first runner-up Fashion Model of the Year girls 13 to 15 years division. She received a 50% discount to the Orchestra.
Makesha George is the first runner-up in the Couture Model of the Year.
Casey Deysel is the seven to nine years Commercial Model of the Year top scorer.
Owner of Figures Models Boksburg Sandra Theron-Swanepoel praised her models for their achievements.
“I’m extremely proud of the student. It’s a tough competition and just to be under the top three is an achievement. I believe they are going to fly our flag high at the convention,” said Theron-Swanepoel.
