Urban Ruins celebrates seventh birthday
The organisation needs funds, a deep freezer, food and transport.
Urban Ruins, a centre for children, celebrated its seventh birthday in style at the centre in Plantation recently.
According to Clayton Viljoen, Urban Ruins CEO, the event was a success.
“It was the perfect day to look back at the gift the founding members gave us in Urban Ruins and say thank you.
We celebrated what has been achieved, our present projects and declared our future success.
“We did this with a PowerPoint presentation, birthday cake, and songs from the ECD school.
“All board members attended along with faces from the past, old staff, volunteers and youth that have graduated and are now either part of the working world or in university,” said Viljoen.
