Local foundations reach out to the needy

Anyone who would like to donate to the foundation may contact Govender on 084 659 8772 or at barlingovender@gmail.com

The Community Development Foundation, founded by Past Barlin Govender, recently visited Reiger Park to clothe and feed the hungry amid the financial hardship caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.

During the event organised in partnership with the Reiger Park-based Maranatha Foundation, and led by Govender and Past James Adam, the beneficiaries enjoyed a hot meal and received clothing.

“Unemployment is very high in this area and the residents need food, clothing and love. Let us not neglect our love for our dear brothers and sisters at all times,” said Govender.
“I encourage communities, leaders and all religious organisations to please come and work with us to help this wonderful community.”

The people who benefitted from the outreach were grateful for the foundations’ charitable gesture.
