Donate blood here during April

According to the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) website stocks are critically low, and locals are urged to support the following blood drives in Boksburg during April:

April 1
Kingfisher Square (69 Kingfisher Avenue) from 11:00 till 15:00.

April 6
Kingfisher Square from 11:00 till 15:00.

April 8
Sion Private Academy (corner of Doone Avenue and Rondebult Road) and Sion Clearwater Campus (Clearwater Estate, Atlas Rd, Parkhaven) from 09:00 till 15:00.

April 11
Edu-Funda Learning Centre from 09:30 till 14:00.

April 12
* Hoërskool Dr EG Jansen (97 Rietfontein Road) from 12:00 till 15:00.
* Hoërskool Oorstelig (Sonskyn Road) from 07:30 till 13:45
* Christian Brothers College (Konig Road) from 09:00 till 14:30

April 14
Kingfisher Square from 11:00 till 15:00.

April 21
Voortrekker High School ( 5 Voortrekker Road) from 08:00 till 14:00

Donors must meet the minimum criteria for donating blood, which are as follows:
• Weigh at least 50kg.
• Between the ages of 16 and 65.
• Be in good health.
• Leading a sexually safe lifestyle.
• Consider your blood safe for transfusion.
• You may only donate every 56 days.
