Golden memories for Cinderella couple
According to the couple patience and perserverance are needed in a successful union.
Boet and Ina Pretorius, of Cinderella, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary (50 years) on April 29.
The couple were married in 1972 and lived in Comet for 40 years before moving to Cinderella recently.
One of their fondest memories is driving from Boksburg to Brits only to have a milkshake – and then driving back home again.
They also loved going to the drive-in and enjoyed dressing up for a dance on a Saturday night.
A special celebration held at the home of one of their two daughters was attended by their family, including their five grandchildren.
Their recipe for a long and successful marriage includes being patient (the biggest ingredient), persevering, accepting each other as they are and loving unconditionally.
