Car Boot Sale yields good results
Vendors said they made money, but hope the turnout will be better in the next Car Boot Sale.
Vendors were excited to have the opportunity to make money in the recent Car Boot Sale, even though the turnout was low.
The Car Boot Sale took place on May 7.
Miranda du Preez said: “The boot sale was good today. I managed to make money. I used to only go to the car boot sale in Bunny Park until a vendor informed me about these ones in Bokkie Park.
“I decided to try it out and from there I never looked back. I lived in KwaZulu-Natal before. I only arrived in Kempton Park in October 2021 and started attending the car boot sales in December last year. I am happy with them so far. The turnout was low today but I believe it will be better in the future,” said du Preez.
Nicky Wepener who sold books, ornaments, bedding and kitchenware said the day was generally good for her, but it can be better. “I started coming to the boot sale in August last year and have been making money from that time. Today it was good but the turnout was average.”
Selwyn Skikner said he comes often to car boot sales. “Today there was a good atmosphere, but I didn’t make the money I expected.”
