Pup rescued from rubbish bin
The puppy was not claimed and will be up for adoption by next week.
According to a post on its Facebook page on June 21, the Boksburg SPCA were informed of a live puppy that had been put into a garbage bin outside the municipal offices on June 17.
The post stated that the society’s inspectors rushed to the scene and found a tiny puppy inside a steel bin on the pavement.
“The car guards claimed they’d been looking after the freezing puppy while her owner was in court. The animal was removed immediately and taken to the SPCA.
“No one has come to claim the puppy as yet and we’re reluctant to believe the story given to us by the car guards,” read the post.
According to the post, the tiny cross-breed has been placed in isolation and will be up for adoption by next week.
