Local company spares a thought for the needy

Round Table and Solidariteit Helpende Hand were the recipients of 50 blankets.

The management and staff of Goldwagen, in the Venter Centre, Rietfontein Road, recently opened their hearts to Solidariteit Helpende Hand Boksburg and Round Table Boksburg 17 by donating 25 double-bed branded blankets to each organisation.

Helpende Hand is collecting blankets for the needy under the banner of their new project, Winter Warm Liefde, in aid of old age homes, like SAVF Huis Dien Botma, Trans-50 Witfield Park Aftree-Oord and Elandsvallei, Remme-los (self-help centre for people with disabilities), and an informal settlement in Witfield. Round Table gratefully accepted the donation for its Winter Knights Project, to which the public can also donate non-perishable foods.
