Join The South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG) as they launch a new, free depression and anxiety support group for young adults (18-35 years) on Wednesday, July 27, at 19:00.
The SADAG mental health support group will take place online using Zoom every Wednesday. SADAG support groups offer a place of warmth, understanding and support to those in need.
According to the support group leader, Sanchè, the main aim of starting the support group is that people know that there are others out there who have been through similar experiences and to remind people that they are not alone.
“The purpose of the support group is to be a pillar of strength and create a safe haven for those living with depression and anxiety.
“Research shows that support groups help people cope with and manage a wide variety of mental illnesses by offering ongoing support. They also provide information on mental illnesses, self-help tips and coping strategies.
“SADAG support groups provide supplementary support which allows members the opportunity to form connections with others experiencing similar troubles and to learn from one another in a non-judgmental, confidential atmosphere,” said Sanchè.
