The young model started entering pageant competitions in 2020 while she was in matric.

“It was nerve-racking when I entered Miss Youth National, as it was my first-ever pageant and did not know what to expect. I won.

“I continued entering pageants and realised that the more I got on stage, the more I fell in love with being the star of the show.”

Melissa added pageants help you grow as an individual.

“They offer a platform to express your opinions and raise awareness about environmental issues or social injustices.

“Pageants are a powerful tool in amplifying important messages and play a significant role in boosting your confidence.”

Melissa entered Miss Eco International, to be held in August. She cannot wait to showcase her talents and win the title.

“One of my biggest goals is to be the next Miss Universe and Miss World. I believe anything is possible if you put your mind to it.”
