His burnt vehicle was found in Kempton Park.

Benoni SAPS and Benoni CPF are seeking help from the public for information about the disappearance of a local businessman, John Hamilton George Banks (62).

“It is not clear where he was headed, however, his Land Rover (DX 38 XW GP) was later found burnt out in Kempton Park,” said Sunine Strydom, of the Benoni CPF Sector 2.

“There has been no contact with Banks since his departure and a missing persons case is currently under investigation.”

Strydom, added that the location where Banks’ vehicle was found cannot be made public as it is still regarded as a possible active crime scene.

Anyone with information which could assist in the investigation is urged to contact Sunine Strydom on 076 451 0080 or any of the alternative numbers provided on the missing persons flyer.
