Wrestlers to represent district at national champs
The wrestlers will contend for national gold in different categories and weight classes.
Eight amateur wrestlers from the Raptors Wrestling Club will represent Ekurhuleni Wrestling Federation in the South African National Championship at the University of Pretoria’s Tuks Sport Centre on October 7.
The wrestlers will contend for national gold in different categories and weight classes.
Jaun Vorster and Anton Strydom will compete in the U11 open bracket freestyle wrestling while Werner Van Wyk and Tristan Smit will fight in the U10 open bracket freestyle wrestling event.
Female grappler, Ivanka Bensch, will fight in female’s U10 freestyle wrestling open bracket.
Michael Oosthuizen will fight in the U13 48kg freestyle wrestling while Benonian Ben Oosthuizen will compete in the U13 41kg freestyle wrestling.
Devan van Toner will take to the mat in the U13 45kg freestyle wrestling.
