Stakeholders and law enforcers discuss issues over breakfast

Boksburg North businessmen, City Improvement Project representatives, and law enforcement stakeholders enjoyed breakfast at Functions Incorporated to see how they could all work together to help each other, on February 14.

Addressing the attendees, Boksburg North SAPS’s Lieutenant Colonel Juanita du Toit reminded them that manpower is an issue at the station.
“We have these problems that were mentioned, but unfortunately, we do not have the manpower. Also, some processes must be followed,” said Du Toit.
Du Toit shared a few tips on preventing business robberies, saying today’s criminals are advanced.
She said garage doors in front of businesses are effective against break-ins.
Boksburg North SAPS’s Captain Sisa Godlo urged community members to report crime. Godlo said the community could call him on 071 675 6987.
EMPD Superintendent Marius Lubbe-Louw said they are here to protect and serve.
“I chose this job 26 years ago not for work but for my passion. We are productive in our area. We don’t have all the resources, but we try our best and make a plan. Remember, we are here to assist where we can,” Lubbe-Louw said.
Beric Tempest, the event organiser, said: “I found this extremely positive, and we are not going to give up.”
