Urban Ruins NPO to host fundraiser at Boksburg Birchwood Spur
Join the Urban Ruins NPO for an unforgettable evening of food, fun, and philanthropy at the Boksburg Birchwood Spur on June 5.
Urban Ruins will host a fundraiser on June 5 at the Boksburg Birchwood Spur.
It aims to raise funds to renovate a playground at the organisation’s site.
The event, sponsored by Birchwood Spur and The Humanity Foundation, will start at 17:00 and feature a unique arrangement where a portion of each bill from the diners at the Birchwood Spur on that day will be donated to Urban Ruins.
According to Clayton Viljoen, the CEO of Urban Ruins, this innovative approach will allow the organisation to maximise its fundraising efforts.
In addition to the restaurant’s contribution, the event will include a silent auction and raffle, allowing the attendees to participate in the fundraising efforts.
The proceeds will go towards renovating the grounds and play area of an Early Child Development (ECD) Centre located on the premises.
“We are thrilled to partner with Birchwood Spur and The Humanity Foundation for this exciting fundraiser,” said Viljoen.
“The funds raised will be crucial in our efforts to revitalise the playground and provide a safe and engaging space for the children at our ECD.”
