Delmore woman disappears after attending church
Sharlein Rakgowa of Delmore has been missing since March 2.
Reiger Park SAPS is investigating a missing persons case about the disappearance of a resident of Delmore informal settlement.
Sharlein Rakgowa (25) was last seen on March 2, wearing a distinctive pink/peach dress.
According to her mother, Olga Rakgowa, they were returning from church when Sharlein stopped at a nearby store to purchase vegetables for supper, at around 17:00.
“However, she failed to return, leaving us in a state of distress. I was initially surprised when she didn’t come back, thinking something might have delayed her.
“However, as hours passed, my concern grew. Sharlein is not one to keep quiet; she always communicates when she’s out. When I tried calling her, her phone was off and now it just rings without being answered.”

Rakgowa said they are struggling to cope with the uncertainty, particularly as Sharlein’s child is left wondering about her mother’s whereabouts.
“We don’t know what to tell her child,” she said.
As the search for Sharlein continues, the family is appealing to the public for any information that might lead to her safe return.
Anyone with details is urged to contact Sharley Malatjie on 071 329 7987, Reiger Park Police Station spokesperson Constable Johannes Msimanga on 071 676 0555 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
