Community of Hope nominates new board

While the first phase focused on board nominations, the second phase is scheduled for August 22.

The Community of Hope Multipurpose Centre took a significant step towards strengthening its leadership during the first phase of its AGM on August 1.

The meeting focused on nominations of board members. Centre manager Elaine Appies expressed her satisfaction with the AGM’s outcome.
“We are pleased that the new board members are young and energetic. This fresh perspective will bring new ideas and energy to the organisation, ensuring we continue to meet the evolving needs of our community.
“The list of nominated board members has already been submitted to DSD for approval, an essential step in maintaining compliance with governance standards and regulatory requirements.”

Appies said the AGM is being conducted in two phases.
While the first phase focused on board nominations, the second phase is scheduled for August 22.
At this meeting, they will review the centre’s financial statements, reflect on challenges and successes from previous years and outline plans for the future.
