Boksburg Cardinals Baseball and Softball Club is beaming with pride after the selection of three of its players to represent South Africa in the U15 National Baseball Team.
The South African Baseball Union (SABU) confirmed that Caylum de Wet, Ethan Foley and Rylee Greyvenstein will be part of the squad competing in the African Qualifiers in Kenya this December.
According to U15 Boys SA Baseball Coach, Gareth Long, the achievement is proof of the hard work and discipline of the three players who have dedicated themselves to the sport from a young age.
“Caylum has earned his place in the team. His selection reflects his commitment to the game and the pride he brings to the Cardinals as he prepares to showcase his talent internationally.
“For Ethan, the national call-up represents the reward of years of passion and determination. His selection to the U15 squad is a proud moment for him, his family, and the Cardinals community that has supported him on his baseball journey.”

Long said Rylee has also earned his place among South Africa’s best, with his discipline, passion, and skill catching the eye of selectors. His milestone achievement has brought joy to his family, teammates, and the Cardinals club as he takes the next step to the international stage.
Long praised the three players, saying, “This is a proud moment for the club and a reflection of the hard work these players have put in over the years. We know they will make South Africa proud in Kenya”, he said.
