Khayalabantwana Bebambisene to hold AGM amid shift to home-based care

Khayalabantwana Bebambisene will hold its Annual General Meeting on November 8, highlighting its transition from a drop-in centre to a home-based care model

Khayalabantwana Bebambisene, an organisation supporting vulnerable children in Windmill Park, will hold its AGM on November 8.

The meeting comes at a pivotal time, as the organisation has transitioned from a drop-in centre to a home-based care model, providing more personalised and sustainable support to orphaned and vulnerable children.

Project manager Sibongile Mkhwanazi explained that home-based care allows the organisation to work directly with families, tailoring services such as psychosocial support, school assistance, and life skills programmes to each child’s needs.

“Our focus is ensuring every child receives the care they deserve in a safe and stable environment,” she said.

Mkhwanazi added that the AGM will allow stakeholders, donors, and community members to review the organisation’s progress, discuss challenges, and shape future strategies.
“Key topics will include the expansion of home-based services, community engagement initiatives, and ongoing resource and logistical needs to support children effectively,” she said.

Khayalabantwana Bebambisene encourages all supporters to attend the AGM, engage with its leadership, and contribute ideas for strengthening its programmes.
The AGM will take place at 4148 Letona Street, Windmill Park Ext 9, at 10:00. For more information or to confirm attendance, contact Khayalabantwana Bebambisene on 072 425 0629.
