The department welcomed and congratulated both the promoted employees and the new staff, highlighting its commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Boksburg Correctional Services recently celebrated the promotion of four employees and the appointment of six new staff members, comprising nine artisans and a nurse.

The move highlights the department’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its workforce, improving service delivery, and ensuring that rehabilitation and correctional operations are conducted efficiently and professionally.
Sister Xolile Mthiyane, joining from the Department of Health, expressed her gratitude for the warm reception.

“The welcome has been very warm, and I feel encouraged to start this new chapter. I am a bit nervous about how the Department of Correctional Services operates, but nursing is broad, and I will quickly adjust.

“I will miss working with female patients, but I am excited to contribute in this new environment. I hope to use my experience to improve patient care and learn the specific needs of the correctional health system. I believe this role will challenge me in new ways and help me grow professionally,” she said.

“It’s motivating to be in an environment where my work can directly impact the department and its people,” he added.
