ESWG condemns sages to third successive loss

Eileen King and Bonne Bamber grabbed the first spot, while Judy Coppin and Di Frankleyne were second.

The Ekurhuleni Senior Women’s Golf (ESWG) teed off its season with a third successive victory in its annual match against Sages at ERPM on January 21.

Eileen King and Bonne Bamber led the ladies to victory after collecting 48 points, with their teammates Judy Coppin and Di Frankleyne making it an ESWG top two after grabbing the runner-up spot with 46 points.

Sages’ Deon van Rooyen and Petra van der Merwe completed the top three with 45 points.

The ESWG chairperson, Charmaine Stone, said, “Well done, ladies, for the excellent results. Thank you to the seniors’ committee, Tania and Mel du Preez, for the amazing raffles.
