LifeLine Ekurhuleni is calling on passionate and skilled community members to help shape the future of the organisation by joining its board of directors as volunteers.

The NPO, which provides emotional wellness, crisis intervention and community support services, is looking to strengthen its leadership as it continues efforts to rebuild and expand its impact across Ekurhuleni.

The organisation is inviting applications from professionals with experience in finance, accounting, legal services, human resources, marketing and communications, fundraising, donor relations, mental health, social services and corporate governance.

According to director Thuto Vukea, successful candidates will help provide strategic leadership and oversight, support fundraising and resource development, ensure sound governance and compliance, and serve as ambassadors for the organisation.

“LifeLine Ekurhuleni is seeking individuals who are committed to community service, demonstrate integrity and professionalism, and can contribute strategically to the organisation’s long-term sustainability.

“Board members will be expected to attend scheduled board meetings, participate in sub-committees and contribute to key strategic initiatives,” he said.

Vukea added that serving on the board offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people facing emotional and mental health challenges, while helping strengthen access to vital community support services.

“It also provides an opportunity to work alongside a purpose-driven team and gain valuable leadership and governance experience.”

Interested candidates are invited to submit a brief CV together with a motivation letter outlining their interest in serving on the board and the skills they can bring to the organisation to director@lifeline.co.za.
