WATCH: Suspects arrested after robbery at mall
The robbers randomly fired shots to get shoppers out of the way, but nobody was injured.
Three suspects were reportedly arrested following an armed robbery at Jewellery Club at the East Rand Mall again today (June 18).
According to Michael Ribi, operations manager at Jewellery Club, one suspect came in as they opened the small gate in front of the shop for a customer at about 11:51.

The armed man held the customer at gunpoint and then about six other armed robbers jumped over both gates in front of the store.
“The robbers held staff members hostage and took out a duvet and put jewellery on it and fled.
It was traumatising for the staff,”he pointed out.

Ribi was unable to tell the value of the jewellery, adding they must still count stock.
