For Fox’s Sake: Join in, let’s make a difference together

We invite every citizen to join us and participate.

Derek Fox writes:
Disappointment is a part of life, and so is a choice. To forge ahead and make a difference is a choice as is giving up and getting up to no good.

We have one choice every five years to elect officials who we believe have our best interests at heart, sadly what we see is that many have forsaken us for their interests.

Between elections, a lot goes on, and what goes on is not always public knowledge. The evidence is before us in our cities and neighbourhoods.

That though is political mumbo jumbo and not what we are about. It is also what has brought us here.

Local government is about service delivery and all elected and unelected officials and employees of the metro should be made aware of that. But let’s give those the benefit of the doubt as we seek to understand why it is what it is and why the system is broken.

There is a group of committed business and property owners as well as concerned citizens who have put their hands up to assist and fix what has been broken.

We thank them for their commitment and support as we launch the City Improvement Project and Neighbourhood Improvement Project.

We invite every citizen to join us and participate, every contribution, no matter how big or small is valued, we know what the problem is, and that is what we seek to address.

We will be positive with our interactions, really is no need to be negative. Comments can take the form of a problem/solution.

At this time, we also extend an olive branch to all those officials who for whatever reason are not on board, who are currently part of the problem and not the solution, to come on board and assist us as we take this initiative forward.

Speak to us, we are here to assist we can lend a hand. There are challenges to overcome, by taking up this initiative.

We not only seek to do, but we also seek to understand and where there are legitimate reasons, we offer assistance in trying to find solutions.

Throwing up our hands and giving up is a choice, but it is not a solution.
