AfriForum Christmas Drive brings joy
The children were over the moon about receiving gifts and a visit from Santa.
AfriForum Boksburg brought smiles to children’s faces with its Christmas Drive, running from December 12 until 23.
Santa made a stop at parks and shopping centres in various parts of Boksburg, including Beyers Park, Eveleigh, Jansen Park, Witfield and Morgan Ridge.
Frankie Pedreiro, the chairperson from the local branch, said 4150 gifts (a drawstring bag with items such as sweets, juice and a toy) were raised by business sponsorships and private donations.
The chairperson said stakeholders participating in the drive included local security companies, emergency services and AfriForum members.
He expressed his gratitude to all sponsors and members who contributed to the success of the drive.
Sponsors include Amigos Sports Café, Debon Air Compressors, El Ridge Corner Shopping Centre, RNS, Atlas Kitchens, Blue Elephant Valets, RossBrother Manufacturing and Digital Track.
