Hospital honours nurses

Nurses serving at Tambo for 40 years appreciated with certificates.

In line with International Nurses Day, Tambo Memorial Hospital organised an event to honour its long-serving nurses for their hard work.

The prestigious event, attended by management and staff, was held at the hospital on May 18.

Among the staff members who were awarded certificates of appreciation are nurses who have been serving for 20 years and more.

Cathrine Radamba, Victoria Mokoeana, Cornelius Madibela, Juanita Tavares, Mukondeleli Mashamba, doctor Khulekani Shezi, Mavis Malekane, Joyce Mashifane and Lorraine Dibakoane.

Those who received certificates in the 20-year category are Catherine Radamba (professional nurse), Joan Mashinini (operational manager), Brenda Maboa (a professional nurse), Cornelius Sentsho Madibela (professional nurse), and Mukondeleli Mashamba (assistant nurse manager).

In the 30-year category are Mavis Malekane (nursing service manager), Joyce Mashifane (professional nurse), Francina Masuku (professional nurse), and Victoria Mokoena (operational manager).

The longest-serving staff members in the 40-year category are Nthang Phaahla (professional nurse) and Juanita Tavarez (professional nurse).
