SAPS officers’ case postponed

The officers allegedly forced their way into the premises and robbed the owner of the cables.

The two Boksburg North police officers arrested for cable theft from a Boksburg North scrapyard will return to the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on June 28.

Sergeants Pretty Ndlovu and Hlengane appeared in court on June 2. The case was postponed for a pre-trial conference.

They face charges of copper theft, defeating the ends of justice and common robbery.

They were arrested at work on February 1 by the Independent Police Investigative Directorate. Each was granted R3 000 bail.
