Bok fever runs high at Ridgeview Retirement VIllage

The senior citizens dressed in green and gold to show their support to the Bokke.

As the Rugby World Cup kicked off in France on September 8, locals are spreading the ‘gees’ by wearing green and gold.

Residents of the Ridgeview Retirement Village showed that they are completely behind the Boks with a Bokkie Friday on the day the World Cup started.

Wearing Springbok jerseys and celebrating with a Springbok cake, the senior citizens showed who they want to bring back the cup.

The team made South Africans proud when they beat Scotland 18-3 in their first World Cup match on September 10.

South Africa will take on Romania in their next pool game on September 17. Kick-off is at 15:00.
