Firefighters receive energy booster
65 energy drinks were handed over to the firefighters.
Firefighters from the Leon Ferreira Fire Station received energy drinks donated by Red Bull on January 23.
The energy drinks were donated to law enforcement officers in December to keep them energised for the festive season.
Lieutenant Colonel Reuben Mogase from the OR Tambo International Airport Police Station handed over about 65 250ml energy drinks to the firefighters so they can also get an energy boost.
Theresa Geldenhuys, City of Ekurhuleni Emergency Services Training Academy senior district manager, said they appreciate the donation.
“Emergency services and the police are a team. Police officers even enjoyed a team building exercise,” said Geldenhuys.
