Election Day 2024
South Africans will hit the polls to vote in the country’s seventh democratic general elections to elect new national and provincial governments.
Polling stations will be open from 07:00 to 21:00, and President Cyril Ramaphosa has proclaimed the day a public holiday – to facilitate voting. Some experts predict this elections will be one of the most fiercely contested since apartheid ended in 1994.
