The Boksburg SPCA is calling on the community to support its annual Christmas Cheer Fund, which started on November 1 and runs until the end of the first week of January.
Again this year, the SPCA hopes to raise R100 000 to care for the animals over the festive season when its kennels are overwhelmed and to also undertake projects.
This year’s projects include spay cradles and a theatre light for the clinic, dry and wet cat and dog food, cat carriers, cat traps, dog crates, collars, leashes and medical supplies.
The society urges residents and its followers on social media to donate R75 to celebrate the Boksburg SPCA’s 75th birthday in February.
