Urban Ruins spreads goodwill
The organisation handed out sweets to children and wished the community a Happy New Year.
To spread goodwill into the new year, Urban Ruins held a Goodwill Drive on December 31, where they handed out sweets to children.
The drive was supported by security companies and stakeholders, including AAA Alarms, SWS, Graphite Security and #FeedingBoksburg.
The initiative began in Plantation, and those involved in the drive made their way to Boksburg north, travelling in vehicles with sirens and lights.
Urban Ruins founder Clayton Viljoen described the event as a success. “It was a great feel-good moment for everyone involved, and the children enjoyed it. I’m proud of the initiative and of one of our youth volunteers, Tristan Hendriksz,” he said.
Viljoen explained that they had been collecting the sweets throughout December.
He also expressed his thanks to everyone who made donations and contributed to making the event a success.
