“We are thankful for all the loyal support we received over the last 30 years and with this birthday celebration we would like to thank every customer who supported us over the years. We invite all Meat World’s customers to come and enjoy the festival,” Pereira said.

The first Meat World opened in Springs in 1995, and after achieving great success, 18 other butcheries have been opened across the country ever since.

The Meat World in Witbank will also be opened on April 26, bringing the total number of outlets to 19 across the country.

From humble beginnings, the Meat World Group of Companies developed a workable strategy of wholesale, pre-packed, deli products and of course a personal butcher to see to the personal needs of clients.

Frio Foods, an 8 000m² factory also developed out of the Meat World Group of Companies, producing a variety of high-quality processed meat products.

“Over the past 15 years, we have grown exponentially, expanding our processing facility with state-of-the-art equipment. The heart of Frio Foods lies in its friendly and professional team of over 450 employees,” Pereira concluded.
