St Francis Care Centre manager, Relebohile (Lebo) Ntjona, writes:
On behalf of the board and management of the St Francis Care Centre, I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Boksburg Advertiser for the donation of winter jerseys, hats and scarves for our little ones at the Rainbow Cottage (children’s section).
Our centre is currently providing residential care to 35 children aged between four months and six years.
All these children have been referred to us by the children’s court in terms of the Child Care Act due to the fact that they were found to be in circumstances that were not conducive to their well-being.
We provide for their physical, emotional and psycho-social needs and try to create a better future for them by either reuniting them with their biological family or recruiting suitable host parents with the view to place in foster care or eventual adoption.
This donation will surely keep our young ones warm throughout this cold winter season.
I thank you once again for your continued support to our children and St Francis Care Centre at large.
