WATCH: Huge turnout for launch of new INGCO Concept Store in Boksburg

The new store, which has created several job opportunities for residents, offers a wide range of INGCO tools.

Hundreds of eager shoppers flocked to Witfield Hardware on November 8 for the grand opening of the highly anticipated new INGCO Concept Store, the first of its kind in Ekurhuleni.

Some customers began queuing hours before the doors opened at 08:00, with a few arriving as early as midnight to be among the first inside.

The new store, which has created several job opportunities for residents, offers a wide range of INGCO tools.
To mark the occasion, the first 50 customers received a 350Nm Impact wrench kit valued at R1 500. A prize draw also took place on the day, and customers continue to be entered into a competition for a R5 000 voucher, with the winner to be announced on December 22.

Witfield Hardware owner Shabbeer Karolia said he was pleased with the turnout and the community’s support for the launch.
“We are thrilled to have opened our brand-new INGCO store and to have welcomed so many shoppers,” Karolia said.
“We appreciate the support from everyone who came out, including those who travelled from far. We will continue to focus on providing good service and quality products to our customers.”

Karolia added that Witfield Hardware has been operating on the East Rand for more than three decades, and that this launch marks a new chapter for the long-established family business.
Among the first arrivals were Henrich Larkins and Rigardt Larkins from Witbank, who reached the store around 11:30 the night before to secure their place in line.

Karolia said the strong turnout was a positive reflection of the business’s relationship with its customers.
“As a family-run business, we take pride in offering a personal level of service,” he said. “We aim to maintain that standard as we continue to grow.”
Shoppers also shared their experiences of the launch on social media.
The store is open Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 16:30 and Saturdays from 08:00 to 14:00. The store is closed on Sundays.
