Tambo Memorial rings in Christmas with four baby boys

Mbuso Medical Supplies donated gift packs to each family, while hospital staff praised the seamless teamwork.

Tambo Memorial Hospital started Christmas Day with a chorus of cries, as four healthy baby boys arrived in the early hours, filling the maternity ward with festive joy.

Baby Mnguni led the way at 00:10, born to parents from Vosloorus.

The celebrations continued with Baby Makamu at 04:15, Baby Mushovheli at 04:20, and Baby Galani at 04:30.

All newborns and mothers are reported healthy.

“It’s the best Christmas gift ever,” said beaming mother Samukelisiwe Mnguni, cradling her son.

“We weren’t planning for him this early, but hearing his first cry at midnight felt like a miracle from above.

“On Jesus’ birthday, it’s like God sent us our own little saviour. I’m so grateful to the nurses, they held my hand through every push.”.

Baby Makamu’s mother, Nyeleti Makamu, echoed the sentiment: “Just 15 minutes after mine, another boy! It felt like a team effort from heaven.

“These hampers from Mbuso Medical Supplie, diapers, blankets, clothes are a godsend. May they be blessed.”
