safety measures have been strengthened to protect employees and residents.

The City of Ekurhuleni has confirmed that service delivery will continue as normal on June 30, amidst the planned anti-immigration marches.

According to the metro, safety measures have been strengthened to protect employees and residents.
The city has called for all protests to remain peaceful and lawful. EMPD and other law enforcement agencies will monitor developments closely.

“While the demonstration is not a city-organised or work-related activity, the city has implemented additional safety measures to protect employees rendering services and residents visiting municipal offices.

“Our priority remains the safety of the public and staff and ensuring that normal operations proceed without disruption,” explained metro spokesperson Zweli Dlamini.
