Masses bring Catholic schools together

The theme of hope was woven throughout the masses.

The St Dominic’s Catholic Church was filled with the joyful sounds of worship and celebration when Catholic Schools Week Sunday masses brought together the community of St Dominic’s Catholic School for Girls, Christian Brothers’ College (CBC) and the parish on February 15 and 16.

According to St Dominic’s Catholic School for Girls marketing manager Sharon Antonizzi, the special masses marked the beginning of Catholic Schools Week, a time to recognise and celebrate the vital role of Catholic education in shaping the future generation’s minds and hearts.

This year’s celebrations hold special significance because they coincide with the Jubilee Year of Hope, proclaimed by Pope Francis. The theme of hope was woven throughout the masses when the congregation prayed for God’s blessings, strength and guidance to fill their lives.

The collaboration between St Dominic’s, CBC and the parish was a testament to the power of faith and community.

As Catholic Schools Week continues, the St Dominic’s community is called on to be “Pilgrims on a journey of Faith and Hope”. May they be a beacon of hope for all they meet, spreading joy, kindness and compassion throughout the year and beyond.
