President Cyril Ramaphosa and Deputy President David Mabuza, have yesterday received the country's first consignment of the Covid-19 vaccine from India, at the O.R Tambo International Airport
The Advertiser asked a few locals if they are looking forward to the vaccine roll-out.
Morgan Dube: Yes, I am looking forward to the vaccine roll-out, and I will be vaccinated if they can guarantee that it doesn't have any side-effects.
Trevineth Masindi: I am not excited about the vaccine. Maybe I would have felt differently if the vaccine was developed in our own country.
Duwa Chilwane: I am looking forward to the vaccine roll-out, and I will definitely be in line to be vaccinated because I will feel that I am then protected against the virus.
Charlie Mills: I am sort of looking forward to the vaccine, and I will probably be vaccinated if I get the opportunity. I am just concerned about the side-effects and cost of the vaccine.
Martin Masindi: No, definitely not. I do not trust this vaccine at all because I do not think enough pre-trials have gone into developing it.
