Alex Mates claims Mayoral Diski Challenge trophy

The tournament was held at the Sinaba Stadium in Daveyton.

The Mayoral Kings of Diski Challenge pits the champions from the various tournaments against each other to determine the champion of champions.

Participating teams were drawn from The Phyllis Games in Tembisa, The Scara Ngobese Games in Katlehong, The Vostoc Diski Nine 9 in Vosloorus, the Defy Ekurhuleni Games in Kwathema, Imbewu Entle and Pollen Games in Daveyton and The Wattville games in Wattville.

Thousands of players participate in these various tournaments, which are watched by huge crowds.

Wattville won the third-fourth place playoff against Ruby FC, after both sides played to a 2-2 draw. Wattville United then won after the penalty shootout following another two-all stalemate.
