Blues remain positive despite narrow defeat

Boksburg Football Club Super League side coach Melvin Kruger remains positive despite his side’s recent struggles.

The Blues went down 2-1 to Randburg in a home match on Saturday, July 1, to add to their growing list of defeats.

One of the Blues’ standout players this season, Kagisano Seforo, registered his side on the scoreboard.

“It was a very entertaining game and my players really played well,” said Kruger.

“Considering that we missed four key players and just lost, I was very pleased with the team’s performance, especially the way the young guys performed.”

Next for the Blues is Benoni Northerns at home this Saturday in a 3.30pm kick-off.

Meanwhile, the Boksburg U-15 team thumped Olympia 5-1 in Bedfordview on Sunday.

All of Kgomotso Nkwana, Happy Matapa, Rudean Peters, Oratile Dingiswayo and Khathutshelo Nethononde netted for the junior Blues.

“I was very impressed with the team’s performance,” said Ernest Seforo, a pleased Blues coach.

“Thanks to all the parents for the support and the team manager, Rothney Peters, and assistant coach Philemon Dolo for working together.” – @SabeloBoksburg
