Correction: BAC athlete first woman home on June 8

The article published on page 7 in the June 20 edition under the headline “Silale makes club history at Comrades” was factually incorrect.

Christina Silale was the first Boksburg Athletic Club (BAC) woman home at the Comrades Marathon on June 8, not the first woman from the club to ever complete this marathon. The first BAC ladies to finish the Comrades Marathon were Rosalind Peters 10hrs:03 and Denise Duffield 10hrs:34 in 1981.
